My fucking laptop is a piece of shit. No, the VAIO S-series is a piece of shit. It's more fragile than a china tea cup. I set it down with anything less than the care that I would give a newborn baby and the display driver's permanently fucked. This happened with my first one, and it's the same thing with this one.

It'll randomly (right now about once a month but last year with the first one it was about once a day) revert to a 640x480 screen, and all the colors are fucked. I took a screenshot as evidence.

This screenshot is of when I tried to mess with the display settings - it told me the problem. But it's not the driver. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and it didnt help. The problem is with the actual piece of hardware.

This'll show you what it SHOULD look like (colors and sizes etc)

I need to trade in my computer for a more durable model. Hell, anything would be more durable than this. I cant take my laptop anywhere because it'll crash and not restart, and that kinda defeats the purpose of a laptop. ARGH.

My mom just sent me a very amusing rant about her digital camera. She's using the one I got for Christmas in 2000? '01? It's a 1mp, and she's frustrated that she can't get clear 8x10s from it. Oh, mother. :) She's planning on buying a new one and wants my advice. I have an idea of how to respond, but just for fun, what do you think I should tell her? She doesn't want anything too fancy, just a point and shoot, that will, apparently, shoot clear 8x10s. Around 4mp should be sufficient, right?
