invisible pink unicorn

my take on the whole thing

So The Da Vinci Code was fun. It wasnt as bad as the reviews said, but it wasnt worth all the hype. There were quite a few unbelievable conveniences (pigeons flying just at the right moment to distract the bad guy, "oh hey, i just happen to be best friends with the one guy in the world that can help us, and he just happens to live five minutes away!", etc. ) but that's to be expected in a movie like that. Most of what they cut out from the book was basically them figuring out each clue. So in the movie, it was like it was too easy - they knew what the answer was as soon as they heard the question, whereas in the book they had to talk through it all, which I preferred. But other than that, as far as a book to movie translation, it wasnt bad. And as just a movie, like I said, it was fun. No more, no less. The cast was great, though - Audrey Tautou, Jean Reno, Alfred Molina, Ian McKellen, Paul Bettany (I'm a bigger fan of his everytime I see him)...
