So..... another friend just asked me to photograph her wedding in June. She's more of a friend of a friend, though, and I'm starting to get nervous. I do have a high-quality camera, but I have a high quality amateur camera. That shouldn't matter, right? It can do what I want it to do. I'm thinking about getting some new lenses (of which I currently have none), and definitely a tripod (I have one, but it's only about a foot tall).

If I could make a living doing still photography, I would. One of the reasons my interest leaned more towards movies was because I didn't want to be a "starving artist". Since I enjoy making movies too, and it's easier to make a living in that industry, I can always do still photography on the side instead. But if a situation arises where I could focus all my attention on stills, I would. I'm looking at figuring out how to best print and mount my photos, and maybe setting up a booth at those arts and crafts gatherings they have on the weekends near the Embarcadero or Union Square.
