no one of consequence

don’t get chumpatized

I dont do this all that often, so you know I’m serious. There are two movies playing in SF that you should check out if you have the chance. Both at the Red Vic.

King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters - Friday at 7:15, 9:15, and Saturday at 2:00, 4:00, 7:15, 9:15.
It’s a documentary about two guys competing for the world record at Donkey Kong. Sound stupid? Maybe, but it’s really well done, and very entertaining even if you’re not into video games (like me). The best doc I’ve seen in a while.

Fido - Wednesday (31st) at 2:00, 7:15, 9:15, and Thursday (the 1st) at 7:15 and 9:15.
Zombie movie set in Leave it to Beaver land. With Billy Connolly as the lead zombie. Zombies have been let loose on this town, but they invented a collar to tame their brain-eating tendencies and now have servant-type jobs like garbage men and maids. People treat them as pets, hence the title. Brilliant, hilarious, and my favorite zombie movie ever. I’m not usually a fan of zombie movies, mostly because the plot is always the same. But this is different. And incredible.

These are both on my list of top five or so movies of the year.
