Things I would've missed had I ridden my bike to DG last night instead of the bus:
The Fillmore is a venue a few blocks from my house. It's a step or two down from being an arena. It's all general admission, but it holds a pretty good sized crowd. It's also right in front of the bus stop that takes me downtown. Whenever I pass by the Fillmore, and there's an event going on, I always ask the security guard what show it is, just out of curiosity. Usually it's someone I've never heard of, but last night I heard a name I haven't heard in YEARS. Hanson. Hanson played at the Fillmore last night. I've spent the past few days trying to figure out what brand of saddlebags would work with my specific bike, with no real luck. At that bus stop, not ten feet away from where I was waiting for the bus, was another Hawk parked on the sidewalk. With saddlebags. I took note of the brand. Going past the Metreon, I notice they're played Beowulf in IMAX 3D! Whoa. That's the only time I ever go to a megaplex - for Imax or 3d. And this is Beowulf! Again, whoa. Once I got off at my stop, there was a piece of bubble wrap on the sidewalk. I stepped on it. It popped. It made me happy.
