I spent the last week in Maryland for my friend Megan's wedding. It had a 1920's theme and I was a bridesmaid. It was insanely fun. I caught the bouquet. :) Pictures here - for those of you who havent seen my new short hair yet, here's your chance. We went to Six Flags on a weekday and there was no one there because school's started. There were a couple times where the ride would finish and there was literally nobody in line so we'd stay on and go again.
It made me realize how sad I am that I dont get to see so many of my friends due to geographical reasons. All of you!! Come visit me!
I start school a month later than most people so until then I get twice as many shifts at work. I'm working six days in a row, one day off, then at least four more days in a row. For those of you in the area, if you're planning on seeing The Illusionist, it's only playing at two theatres in the entire city - the Metreon and the Balboa. You should come to the Balboa - we're cheaper ($6 for the matinee, $8.50 for general), nicer, have a better selection of candy, and you know you'd rather give your money to the independent theatres instead of the chains anyway, right? :D We'll have it through at least next Thursday (the 7th). I havent seen it yet, but I've been looking forward to it for months. If you've already seen it, we're also playing Little Miss Sunshine which is so hilarious and I highly recommend it.
I'm kitten-sitting for digitalgoth and collapseylamb while they're at Burning Man, although the kittens are the ones sitting on me. collapseylamb has been listing things she'd never thought she'd say and I have to add two of my own: "Get out of the dishwasher!" and " Stop trying to climb me!" They're too adorable. Pictures to come.
Yesterday on the bus, someone across the aisle from me had a seizure and fell on the floor. The guy sitting next to her (who didnt know her either) and I held her on her side until the ambulance came. She started bleeding from her mouth, but it was probably just because she'd bitten her tongue.
